MainWP Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the MainWP iPhone, iPad, and Android companion published by Land Tech Web Designs, Corp. It is not the generic Land Tech website privacy policy, and it is not MainWP.com’s website policy.

What the app is

MainWP on your phone is a native companion for a MainWP Dashboard you already host on your own WordPress® site. The phone talks only to the HTTPS Dashboard URL you enter, over the MainWP REST API. It does not create a MainWP.com account, does not log you into Land Tech, and does not wrap mainwp.com in a browser.

What the app stores on your device

Dashboard URL and API key (Bearer token) — saved in the device secure store (iOS Keychain / Android EncryptedSharedPreferences) only after the app successfully probes your Dashboard. We never persist an untested token.
Offline fleet cache — the last successful list of child sites, update counts, and related Dashboard data, so you can still read the list when the Dashboard is unreachable.
Optional passcode — if you turn on app lock in Settings. It stays on this device.
Optional feature toggles and alert settings — local UI preferences only.

Child-site admin passwords are never stored. The phone never talks to child sites directly.

Where your data goes

Credentials and fleet data are sent only to the Dashboard URL you typed, over HTTPS. Land Tech does not receive your Dashboard URL, API key, client names, child-site URLs, or fleet inventory. This version does not include analytics, advertising, crash-upload vendors, or a third-party AI service.

If you open a child site’s public URL or WP Admin from the app, that happens in the system browser. Those sites see a normal browser visit — not a token from this app.

Connecting a Dashboard is the “account”

There is no Land Tech or MainWP.com membership inside the app. For store privacy rules, saving a Dashboard connection is the account. You can remove it at any time with Settings → Disconnect & delete local data, which wipes the URL, token, cache, lock settings, and alert settings on that device. See the data deletion policy.

Permissions

Face ID / biometrics — optional, requested only when you turn on app lock / biometrics in Settings. Used to unlock stored Dashboard credentials on this device. Biometric data stays with the operating system.
Notifications — optional local fleet alerts (disconnected sites or waiting updates). Requested only when you turn Fleet alerts on in Settings, not on launch. Notices stay on the device. This version does not register an Expo or FCM push token and does not send notification data to Land Tech or MainWP.com.

This version does not use the camera, microphone, photo library, location, Health, or motion.

Pairing another device

You connect by pasting a Dashboard URL and Bearer token, or by opening a mainwp://connect link you created. Settings → Add another device can show a pairing QR and shareable link from this phone. Anyone who has that link can use your API key. Do not post it on a public QR website. Opening a pairing link always shows a confirm screen; the app does not silently save a token from a random link.

Purchases

The companion is free. This version has no in-app purchases. MainWP Pro website add-ons, if you use them, are bought from MainWP on your Dashboard — not inside this app.

Children

MainWP is a business fleet tool. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the age required in your country).
